Description

  • Gorgeously flat and with a great depth of colour, Chalky Matt Emulsion from Morris & Co. Paint offers the perfect heritage hue with each brushstroke. Made with only premium ingredients that are planet-friendly, Chalky Matt’s washable finish leaves an enduringly harmonious look. Made for the modern craftsperson with colours sourced from the Morris & Co. archive, Chalky Matt is ideal for enveloping walls and ceilings in a timeless Morris & Co. palette.
  • Suitable for commercial and residential spaces. Interior walls, ceilings, woodwork, suitably prepared metal and radiators.
  • All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material including dirt and grease. Prime bare metal surfaces with an appropriate primer. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust and wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
  • Stir well before use. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Apply by brush, roller or sprayer. Do not overfill paint trays. Ensure roller is loaded evenly. If using a brush, load generously. Apply liberally and evenly; avoid overspreading. Apply two coats. Additional coats may be required on new plaster or where a greater colour change is desired. Do not apply in temperatures below 10ºC or in damp conditions. If more than one can of colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use.
  • Remove as much product as possible from equipment before cleaning. Clean immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Replace lid firmly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty waste paint into drains or watercourses.
  • One coat of Morris Chalky Matt Emulsion covers up to 14m2 per litre, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface.
  • Touch dry in 1 - 2 hours. Recoatable after 2 - 4 hours.
